Ford offers 2009 F-150 with in-dash computer, printer, EVDO, GPS, and RFID tool tracking
Our dirty, hairier over autoblog sisters had the chance to get close and personal with a 2009 Ford F-150 at the Chicago Auto Show. A remarkable gadget ruffians, and those of you who identify themselves as such in the S trek to the social ice is Ford's new "Work-solutions". It has a Microsoft Sync-hyphen-powered computer (with a wireless keyboard, Bluetooth printers, 6.5-inch touch-screen) by Magneti Marelli with built Sprint and Mobile and Broadband Garmin GPS. It also offers an RFID system link tool built in partnership with DEWALT and Thing Magic for a real-time inventory of your RFID-tagged tools. The FWS option on all 2009 F-150 XL, STX, XLT, FX4 trucks, F-Series Super Duty XL, XLT, FX4 trucks, and all 2009 E-Series vans. FWS couple with Sony 700 watt, 5.1-channel, 10-speaker system and Sirius link travel options already announced for the F-150, and we might have to Engadget Mansion mobile. Video after the break.
